Frequently Asked Questions

Horseback Riding Classes & Placement

Before your camper arrives at camp, you will receive a JotForm from our Equestrian specialist with questions about your camper’s level in riding, please be sure to fill this out with your camper. During our check-in process, we spend time interviewing and evaluating each camper’s riding skills to be sure to put them in the correct level class as well.

Unit / Cabin Life

Campers will live in one of our two units, in a cabin with air-conditioning and twin-size bunk beds with 12-16 other friends and at least 2 counselors. Campers will be placed into cabins based upon ages and the program they signed up for. Unit life includes such things as cooking out, kapers, turtle time, exciting evening programs, and time to get to know each other and their counselors. Cabins are the campers home away from home, and we make sure they feel welcome and included in all activities.

Can girls who are not Girl Scouts go to camp?

Campers will need to become registered Girl Scouts to attend summer camp. You don’t have to be a member of a girl scout troop to sign up for camp, you can be a Juliette, or a Girl Scout without a troop. All campers who come to camp can try new things like cooking in the great outdoors or conquering the challenge course. For more information on Juliette Scouting, please email juliettes@gsgatl.org.

What if the pick-up or drop-off times do not work for us?

If you need to arrive later than the scheduled drop off time, contact the camp director one week prior to the start of the camp session. Campers cannot arrive early before the drop off time because camp staff are getting ready for the session. If you need to pick up your camper early, before the pick-up time, let the camp director know when you drop her off. There are no late pick up options. Drop off will be on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.; Pick up will be on Friday from 2-4 p.m.
