Our camps give children the opportunity to explore, build skills, develop an appreciation for nature, and have fun! Find out all about what makes a Girl Scouts Summer great.

Ways to Camp

Day Camps

Get ready for fun, adventure and building new skills at Camp Timber Ridge. A five-day experience for campers entering grades K-9. This day camp gives children the opportunity to unplug and offers enriching activities, leadership development, STEM education, and more.

Sleepaway Camps

Looking for an overnight summer camp experience? Our overnight camps promote independence and provides children with an opportunity to build self-esteem. Campers entering grades 2-12 will enjoy their time making new friends, lasting memories, and developing new skills at Camp Misty Mountain and Camp Meriwether.

Classic Camps

Classic Camp means days filled with all the best parts of summer camp! Each day holds new adventures as you try new things, build on existing skills, and have adventures with your camp friends!

Specialty Camps

Specialty Camps allow children to focus on specific interests while still experiencing all the adventure that camp has to offer. You might take a trip offsite or work on a service project as you take a deep dive into topics like the arts, STEM, outdoor adventures, or horseback riding!

Leadership Camps

Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta’s leadership summer programs will prepare you to lead at camp, at school, and beyond. Your leadership journey can begin  with Program Aide or Future Leaders in Training (FLIT) sessions, or you can dive straight into our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program, an intensive introduction to youth development, counseling, teaching, and leadership skills.

Camp Timber Ridge was established in 1924, this 280 acre camp features rolling hills, forests, and water. Activities include art projects, recreational swimming, STEM programs, high and low challenge course, canoeing and kayaking, outdoor skills, and more.

Camp Meriwether was established in 2001, this 270 acre camp features rolling hills, shady woods and open fields. Activities include an English equestrian program, miles of hiking trails, outdoor skills training, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, target sports (archery), climbing tower/challenge course and more!

Camp Misty Mountain was established in 1971, this 800 acre camp features fields, forests, and our own lake nestled against the Appalachian Mountains. Activities include western riding, trail riding, target and field archery, mountain hiking trails, outdoor cooking, sailing, and more.
