Program Description

Did you know that Misty Mountain has almost 1,000 acres of forest? Nestled deep in these acres are many miles of trails suitable for our horses and ready for campers to explore. If your child loves horses and camping, then this is the session for her! Campers spend most days, and even a night, out on the trail. We will learn how to administer beginner Equestrian First Aid, spot and avoid trail dangers, and the ins and outs of packing a saddlebag. Campers will advance their equestrian skills in riding and groundwork along with their camping skills, too! This horse-based camping experience is tailored for intermediate and advanced riders. Campers are ready for this session when they can independently halt and steer at the walk and trot. To be approved for this program campers may be asked to show proof of riding ability.

Cost $1600
