Program Description
Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta’s progressive leadership program gives campers the skills, experiences, and opportunities to let their leadership shine! Counselor-in-Training I (CIT I) with Horses is the cornerstone of our camp leadership program, with the added option to have daily time in the barn and riding lessons. This training is a two-week sleepaway experience for scouts entering 9th-11th grades. CIT I camp is an introduction to youth development, mentorship and leadership skills. In CIT I, participants will learn and practice skills needed to be positive and supportive mentors to younger campers while contributing to an empowering and inclusive camp community experience.
