Program Description
Does your camper love horses? Classic Camp with Ponies is for any camper who wants to learn or continue learning to ride while also enjoying the diversity of the Classic Camp experience. The campers will be divided into groups based on a short survey sent to the parents before camp and their experiences during past summers with us. Participants spend either the morning or afternoon in the barn practicing their English riding skills and developing “Horse Smarts” through horsemanship lessons. They will also explore camp magic intertwined, with splashing in the pool, paddling on the lake with a canoe or paddleboard, aiming high at the archery range, and making creative arts and crafts at the Pavilion. Campers will build lasting friendships, try new adventures, and are encouraged to have thirty seconds of courage each day as they find their home away from home in the magic of Camp Meriwether! Badge Connection: Each week campers will earn one badge in Outdoor, STEM, Life Skills or, Entrepreneurship.

Weekend Connector
GRADES 2-10
Back by popular demand, we will offer Weekend Connector for select weekends! If your camper is signed up for two consecutive weeks when Weekend Connector is offered, they can stay with us over the weekend at a cost of an extra $125 per camper. They will also have the chance to do their laundry over the weekend.
When: Weeks 1-2; June 6-8, Weeks 3-4; June 20-22, Weeks 6-7; July 11-13

Camp Meriwether is located in Luthersville, GA (50 miles southwest of Metro Atlanta) and was established in 2001. It’s best known for it’s English equestrian program. There are 270 acres of rolling hills, shady woods and open fields. We have a remarkable summer camp and a place that captures the truly unique feeling of “home” for both campers and staff. Meriwether campers explore horseback riding, drama, the arts, and adventure. Stay cool at the pool and canoe, kayak and paddle board in the pond. The perfect summer adventure!
