Natural Horsemanship

Have you ever wondered what it takes to train a horse? Well, this is the camp for you! This two-week session will have campers in the barn for mornings and afternoons (for a total of 5 hours!) learning good communication skills with horses. Riders will learn about the tools we use at Camp Misty Mountain to talk with our horses, read horse body language and discover “horsenalities.” You will also take those new skills learned on the ground and transfer them into the saddle. This session will also cover ethical leadership skills, animal empathy and help campers work towards their Voice for Animals Badge!
