Girls that serve as a Day Camp Counselor Interns will help counselors guide Day Campers through their day. Participants will be assigned to a counselor and assist with 3 activities. Responsibilities will include helping girls get from activity to activity, helping with meal times, keeping girls on task and making sure they have what they need. During assigned activities, Interns will help with supplies and make sure girls understand directions including helping them when they struggle. This is a great opportunity to practice leadership and counseling skills. Prerequisites include: attending a previous Day camp session or having participated in a CIT 1 program from one of our camp programs. Girls are welcome to do 1 or more weeks. Interns report to Timber Ridge’s older girl leadership specialist who will check in with you daily at the end of the day.
