Program Description

This camp session will focus on being outdoors, hiking, and how to survive and thrive in the wilderness. Campers will develop a deeper understanding of the outdoors and the skills to master it. These skills include: fire-building, wilderness first aid, shelter building, Leave No Trace Principles, fishing, outdoor cooking, and the Ten Essentials for Hiking and Camping. They will also have the opportunity to participate in many of our traditional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing and archery.

Weekend Connector

GRADES 4-12
Designed for our girls who want to combine sessions into a 2-week stay-over. Campers will be provided classic camp activities as well as some downtime to recharge with their new friends. Stayovers are available for one-week sessions. Girls enrolled in a session that does NOT encompass 2 weeks do NOT need to sign up for the connector.

When: Weeks 3-4 (June 20-22) and Weeks 6-7 (July 11-13)

Cost: $125

Bus Transportation

You asked, we answered! Camp Misty Mountain will have a bus from Mableton Service Center on Sunday leaving 1 pm and return to Mableton Service Center on Friday arriving at 3pm. This bus will be staffed by CMM staff.

When: Week 2 (June 8-13), Week 6 (July 6-11), and Week 7 (July 13-18)

Cost: $75 roundtrip

Camp Misty Mountain, established in 1971, is located in Armuchee, GA (75 miles Northwest of Metro Atlanta). This property has 800 acres of fields, forests, and its own lake. It is nestled against the Appalachian Mountains. Campers entering grades 4-12 can go horseback riding, shoot a bullseye in archery, or make the perfect s’more over the campfire with new friends. Camp Misty Mountain is known for its Western equestrian program and beautiful Lake Marvin.
